Stomach This

(warning: the following post is of some considerable ick factor)

My niece was born via C-section, as were her older siblings.

My brother was in the delivery room for her birth. He got a look inside when my niece's mother was reopened.

"What's all that white stuff in there that looks like popcorn?" he asked the doctor.

"Oh, that's the normal, protective layer of fat," he replied.

My niece's mother is as thin as Kate Moss. "Well, scrape it out while you're in there!" she said.

The doctor repeated himself. "Normal, protective layer of fat."

I love repeating that story.

Ahahahaha, so we all have fats in us. Eh.

Also..I like how used the term "my neice's mother" instead of sister-in-law. I TOTALLY see where you're coming from.

I was more reminded of the episode of The Nanny where Fran has tonsillitis and Mr. Sheffield says to the doctor (regarding her nasal whine), "Do you think you could get her adenoids while you're in there?" and the doctor says, "No, her entire face would collapse."

TCDO, yeah, I was sorry to lose her as a sister-in-law but I do not blame her for divorcing my brother.

GW, ha ha! Did'ja see the episode where she went out on the window ledge to stop the guy from jumping?
"Take off your high heels" someone told her. "Are you kidding?" she asked. "That would throw off my balance COMPLETELY."
She is such a drag queen!

NA, yes, there are the 'good fats' (olive oil, avocado, etc.)
;-)

QB, cool scar?
