I had a beloved cat named DC that I had from 2nd grade until after I was married. When I was 26 I had to put her down. I knew I would miss her, but I didn't realize the huge impact she had on me, after being with her for over 18 years (most of those years were the puberty - college years - the yucky times). At that time in my life, my cat was my world, my baby, and as you put it, a way to experience the love and nuturing I craved so much. That's the great thing about being a parent now. I have a second chance at having a great loving parent-child relationship. (although I'm sure my kids won't think that way when they are complaining about me in therapy).<BR/>ShellyBrett & Shelly Faucetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14213068593631131301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6572782299239196917.post-59295413331619521442007-12-16T13:01:00.000-08:002007-12-16T13:01:00.000-08:00"I really feel that Caesar was the closest I ever ..."I really feel that Caesar was the closest I ever got to having my own son."<BR/><BR/>That's how I feel about Pork Chop!
